New Technology

This week I have become more familiar with Twitter and blogging. I had never really branched out to these types of technology styles, but I am starting to like them. The more I play around with them, the easier they become to use. On another note, I also observed some technology use in my classroom I student teach in this past week. The students (1st graders) were using interactive websites to learn about magnets for their science block. It was really cool to see this lesson be taught in a "fun" way that really got and kept the students engaged.

Hi! My name is Kristy Strouse and I am using this blog for my online class where I hope to learn more on working with technology.

I would say that I have an average level of technology background. I like to try to stay up to date with what is new and how to network and stay connected, but there are still some things that I am unfamiliar with, like blogging for example, that I hope to become better at. I expect that after I finish this course, I will have new sources of technology and will feel more confident about using certain types that I was unfamiliar with before.
